Saona 47 – Maravelle, a bareboat catamaran built for a good life!
The Maravelle is a 2019 Fountaine Pajot Saona 47 that got a refresh in 2024, so she’s in excellent condition. Based in Ao Po Grand Marina – Phuket, this sailing catamaran is ready to take you and up to 10 friends comfortably around the Andaman Sea. 10 guests can be sleeping in 5 double cabins, one additional person can sleep in the saloon (air conditioned) and if you need to take one more, there is single berth in the forepeak cabin. But I would recommend her for 10 guests to keep the experience at a higher level.
What I love about this boat: teak decks, cockpit cushions, a flybridge (because who doesn’t want to steer from up high?), and enjoy the beautiful scenery. A hydraulic dinghy lift that makes getting dinghy on and out of water effortless. Air conditioning (YES) Watermaker (YES) Generator (YES) – all you need for longer charters to be independent and sail as far from Phuket island as you need to.

Low season is actually the best time of the year to come to Phuket for a charter. Less crowds, more available boats to choose from and the prices are unbeatable. Plus warm water like a bathroom.

If there is no turn around on the same day (another charter starts or ends), you will be able to board and disembark at 12.00 noon.
Refundable boat damage deposit: 7000 Euro
The air conditioning is an optional extra: surcharge of 5 euros per hour, including diesel for the use of the generator. The generator is needed to run the air conditioning and the water maker. You can pay at the end of the charter, depending on how many hours of air conditioning you have used during the cruise.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- A boating license is required for a bareboat charter in Thailand.
- The skipper of the yacht must have skipper experience on +/- similar size yacht.
- An understanding of basic boat operation (seamanship), boat handling and navigation is required.
- If your experience seems a little light, you can choose to charter a bareboat and hire a professional captain for the first few days and then continue the rest of your charter on your own when you feel comfortable.

PAYMENT POLICY
- When booked 60 days in advance: 50% deposit to confirm booking
- Balance payment 30 days before charter starts
CANCELLATION POLICY
- If the charter is cancelled more than 12 weeks prior to charter: 30% of charter fee.
- Between 12 to 8 weeks: 60% of charter fee.
- Between 8 to 4 weeks: 80% of charter fee.
- Less than 4 weeks: 100% of charter fee.
